Tortoise Visit!
This half term, our project is Darwin's Discoveries. This week we learnt all about the tortoises of the Galapagos Islands and how they influenced Darwin's theory of evolution.
To help with our understanding of tortoises and how they have evolved differently around the world, we got the chance to study a real Hermann's tortoise! Hermione wasn't fazed at all by Year 6 and had a good explore of both classrooms. We were amazed by how quickly she can move and how wriggly she is when you hold her.
