A Special Visit for UK Parliament Week

As part of UK Parliament Week, we were delighted to welcome our local MP, Satvir, to our school.

During her visit, Satvir enjoyed a tour of the school, giving her the opportunity to see our children learning and to find out more about school life.

A highlight of the visit was a special question-and-answer session with our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. The children had the opportunity to ask Satvir their questions and learn more about the role of an MP, how Parliament works and how decisions are made that affect our local community and the wider country.

Our pupils asked some excellent and thoughtful questions and enjoyed hearing first-hand about life as a Member of Parliament. The visit was a fantastic opportunity to bring their learning about democracy and Parliament to life and to encourage them to think about how they can have a voice in their own communities.

We would like to thank Satvir for taking the time to visit our school and for speaking with our pupils. It was a memorable way to mark UK Parliament Week and a valuable experience for our Year 5 and 6 children.
