Week 5 in Nursery
We have had another wonderful week in Nursery, enjoying lots of fun learning through the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
This week, we explored counting to 3, practising counting objects and noticing how many we had. We also investigated size, comparing objects that were big, medium and small. The children enjoyed sorting the objects into size order and talking about which was bigger or smaller.
Our 2-Year-Olds
Our 2-year-olds had a fantastic time going on a listening walk outside. We used our listening ears to stop, listen carefully and notice all the different sounds around us. This helped us develop our listening and attention skills.
We also enjoyed reading Toddle Waddle, joining in with the story and exploring the sounds, movements and actions.
Inspired by Goldilocks and the Three Bears, we then had lots of fun making porridge! The children developed their physical and fine motor skills as they practised pouring, scooping and mixing. We enjoyed getting messy and exploring the different textures as we made our very own porridge.
It has been another busy week of exploring, learning and having fun together. We are so proud of how the children are becoming more confident and independent in their Nursery environment!
