Week 6 in Nursery
What a lovely week we have had in Nursery! This week, we have been enjoying the much-loved story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
We took our adventure outdoors and went on our very own bear hunt! We pretended to use binoculars, carefully looking around and quietly searching for our bears. The children enjoyed exploring their surroundings and using their imaginations as we brought the story to life.
We also used our sensory trays to retell the story, exploring different textures and remembering the different parts of the bear hunt. This was a wonderful opportunity to develop our communication and language skills as we joined in with the story and explored the sensory resources.
Autumn Explorers
We got creative with some lovely Autumn printing! Using natural materials, including pine cones, leaves and sticks, we explored making different prints and patterns. The children enjoyed investigating the materials and discovering the marks they could make.
Sensory Snow Fun
We explored some sensory snow this week. There was lots of excitement as we added water and watched the snow change! The children enjoyed getting hands-on, exploring the texture and noticing how the materials changed as we played.
Big Builders
We also enjoyed some big construction activities this week. We explored what we could build, experimented with putting materials together and used our imaginations to create different structures. These activities helped us develop our problem-solving skills, coordination and teamwork.
We have had a fantastic week full of stories, sensory exploration, creativity and construction. We are looking forward to another exciting week of learning and fun in Nursery!
