What are Year 4 up to?
Wow! What an amazing start to the 2026-27 school year in Year 4. We already feel excited about the year to come. We both feel privileged to be able to take your child into our care this year. In the short time they have been with us, we are very proud of their willingness to learn, their cooperation and resilience. Rest assured, we will endeavour to support, challenge and nurture your child so that they can ‘be the best they can be.’
Thank you to the parents who took up the invitation to, ‘Meet the Teacher.’ It was wonderful to meet you. For those that couldn’t be present, we would like to share with you a few essential and important details…
You can support your child by:
-
Listening to your child read everyday for 15-20 minutes (ask them questions about their book. Reading logs will be monitored).
-
Learning all the multiplication tables (the statutory Multiplication Tables Check takes place in early June).
-
Helping and sharing with their homework.
Other key information.
-
PD Day is on Friday. Your child will need to come to school in a PE kit.
-
Full uniform is essential (see uniform list).
Over the past few weeks we have been getting to know of each of our children and we can already see the positive attitude they have to learning. Each child is a valued member of the Year 4 team and each contributes towards our shared value of ‘Teamwork.’
Let’s not forget that through ‘Resilience, aspirations and goals are set. We believe that this is going to be a wonderfully productive year.
We would like to thank parents and carers for your support in helping your child with their homework, reading and learning the multiplication tables up to 12x12.
